| CRASH TEST AT REDUCED MOUNTING HEIGHT | |

Jerol have completed another successful set of crash tests. This time the test was undertaken on 2 No Jerol 219mm diameter posts supporting a 5m2 sign plate with the sign plate mounted at 1500mm above ground. The test, which was undertaken by Helsinki University Test Laboratory, was completely successful. The report states that there was “no deformations in the occupant compartment” The National Annex to BS EN 12767: 2007 currently states that a mounting height of 2.0m should be used unless the system has been tested at a lower height. The latest test allows Jerol posts to be used at a reduced mounting height of 1500mm. | |

| Jerol Industri are please to announce that they have been awarded the CE mark for their range of passively safe lighting columns. The mark was awarded by the notified body “SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden” and covers the full range of lighting columns from 6.0 – 13.5 m. All Jerol lighting columns, sign & signal posts are now marked with a unique date mark, reference number and bar code which allows full traceability of all Jerol products. | Jerol launch 140mm post | |
| A 140mm diameter post has been added to the Jerol range of passively safe posts. The 140mm posts can be supplied with or without doors and will be especially useful on traffic signal schemes. The post complements the existing range of sign & signal posts and Jerol now provide the largest range of posts & columns from one manufacturer. | Once again crash friendly products prove their worth. A Jerol post, installed at a junction with the A92 near Perth, was struck one night recently by an errant vehicle. The driver was able to drive away, and it can be assumed that he or she, and any passenger, was relatively unscathed as a result. It is excellent news that this is yet another statistic that will not appear in the casualty figures for 2006”. |
